ShaTerra & Jabbar's Vintage Wedding Invitations

ShaTerra and Jabbar are planning a Vintage/Old Hollywood wedding celebration in cornflower blue and black. I was asked by the lovely ShaTerra to create invitations to match their theme. It's a fairy simple design but the art deco and script fonts evoke the feel of the event. Goes to show the effectiveness of typefaces!

Nicole & Aly's Multi-Cultural Invitations

In celebration of the London Olympics, it's only fitting that I share Nicole and Aly's wedding invitations. Not only do the couple live in the current Olympic city but their relationship represents a union of cultures: Nicole is American and Aly is English-Indian. The couple, celebrating their wedding at the gorgeous Plaza Hotel in New York City,  will incorporate both eastern and western traditions. To reflect this in the invitation design, we created a formal look with a golden damask border and custom monogram with two elephants holding up a red heart. In the Indian culture,  elephants with trunks facing upward represents good luck.  Also,  it's hard to see in the photo but, the invitations were printed on an ivory pearlized cardstock which shimmers beautifully in the light!
