Dipti & Craig's Invitations

When Dipti and Craig contacted me about creating their wedding invitations I could not wait to begin designing! The couple is having a Hindu wedding so they wanted to incorporate specific ideas into their invitations. Not only did I enjoy making these invitations, but it was also a learning experience. For instance, the elephant on the invitation is Ganpati (or Ganesh), one of Hinduism's most widely-worshiped deities. It is common for Ganpati to be placed on cards for any happy occasion along with the phrase "Om Shree Ganeshay Namah." -- which means "Ganesh, I pray to you." I'm working on seating and table number cards for Dipti and Craig next!
